Breeding Season Underway

Our breeding season is well underway with our November and December calvers already bred. Our 2012 sire lineup includes Boardwalk, Eye Candy, Gigolo Joe, Highliner, Mercedes Benz, and Monopoly. We've also added some new sires to this year's sire group.
The PEI Easter Beef Show & Sale takes place this week. Good luck to all exhibitors.

Duncan Livestock Reward Program is Back
Duncan Livestock is once again offering credit to our 2011
buyers for their show results at the 2012 PEI Easter Beef Show & Sale.
For each animal purchased at the 2011 sale, we are offering
the following dollar amounts as credit to our 2012 sale on the purchase of any
sale entry. The dollar amount is based on how the steer or heifer purchased at
our 2011 sale places at the Easter Beef Show.
Grand Champion overall at the PEI Easter Beef Show, $250 credit.
Reserve Grand Champion overall at the PEI Easter Beef Show, $200 credit.
Breed Champion(all breeds and heifer division)at the PEI Easter Beef Show, $150 credit.
Reserve Breed Champion (all breeds and heifer division) at PEI Easter Beef Show, $100 credit.
All credit won in 2012 must be used at the 2012 sale on September 29, 2012. Multiple credit may be combined to win and use.

us that were selected as the Grand Champion, Champion Any Other Breed, Champion
Limousin, Champion Maine-Anjou, and Reserve Champion Limousin.

Angus Yearling Bull For Sale-updated weight
We have one black angus bull on test at the Maritime Beef Test Station in Nappan, Nova Scotia. The bull is available for sale immediately and will be ready for pick up at the end of the testing period in late March. The bull is priced at $2700. Duncan Livestock will pay all remaining fees and feeding costs until the end of the testing period which ends on March 21st. 12Y is available at this price until March 15th.
The bull is KJDF Youngblood 12Y. He is a Krone Royal 1140 (B/R New Design 036) son out of JEM Classy Lady 23L (TC Stockman 365). His weight as of February 21st was 1250 lbs. He is halter broke and was shown as a calf.
Our 2 black angus bulls averaged $3100 in the 2011 Maritime Beef Test Station Sale.
Maternal brother, KJDF Tombstone 77T is our current herd sire.
