Sale Calves Are Weaned

Once again, thanks to http://quietwean.com/, weaning was a stress free event for the calves and mama cows.

We will start to halter break calves in about a week in preparation for our Saturday, September 3rd sale.

Our sale lineup will include the following prospect steer calves sired by Believe in Me (2), Daddy's Money (1), Glenfiddich Pericles (3), Monopoly (1), and Unstoppable (1).  These calves have birthdates from September, 2015-March, 2016.  The Pericles steers are out of Eye Candy and Heatwave dams.

Our prospect sale heifers are sired by Believe in Me (1), Eye Candy (2), and Monopoly (1).  These calves were born between November and December, 2015.

On the purebred side, we have 6 October & November, 2015 heifers sired by S A V Bismarck 5682 (5) and Connealy Right Answer 746 (1).  We also have a January, 2016 heifer by P V F Insight 0129.

As the sale date gets closer, we will finalize our entire sale lineup.

Next Year's Calf Crop

With cows and calves on grass and breeding season all but wrapped up, we are looking forward to next year's calf crop.

Club calf sires with confirmed pregnancies are Believe in Me, Boardwalk, Eye Candy, I-80, Monopoly, Unstoppable, Walk This Way, and Walks Alone.

Angus sires with confirmed pregnancies are Dameron C-5 American Classic, Dameron First Impression, PVF Insight 0129, SAV Angus Valley 1867, SAV Resource 1441, and Silveiras Style 9303.

Genex Semen Available in Nappan, NS

The Genex beef semen tank will be at the Maritime Beef Test Station Sale on Saturday, April 2nd.

We will have Genex semen available for pickup at the PEI Easter Beef Show on March 3rd in Charlottetown, PE and the Maritime Beef Test Station Sale on April 2 in Nappan, NS.
