Maritime Beef Test Station

Thanks to Glen and Jean Ford of Wheatley River Farm for hauling KJDF Youngblood 12Y (Krone Royal 1140 X TC Stockman 365) to Nappan, Nova Scotia to the Maritime Beef Test Station where approximately 150 bulls and 40 heifers are going on test for the winter.  Look for updates on 12Y's progress this winter.  Click here for his CAA pedigree.  If you are looking for an outcross sire, this is him.  He is the only Krone Royal 1140 sired bull calf registered in Canada.  His dam, JEM Classy Lady 23L has produced many good ones with progeny sold to all 3 Maritime Provinces.

Calving Time is Getting Closer

Our first due date is November 11th with approximately 20 calves to come between then and the first of January.  The first group of calves will be sired by Boardwalk, Eye Candy, Highliner, Mercedes Benz, and Monopoly.  January calves will be sired by the same sires listed above as well as S A V Bismarck 5682, S A V Final Answer 0035, and S A V Net Worth 4200.

2011 Sale Results

First of all, on behalf of everyone at Duncan Livestock (Karl & Irene, Kurt, Jenn & Kinley) we would like to thank everyone who attended and participated in our third annual sale. Bids came from all 3 Maritime Provinces and sold to buyers in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia.

A big thank you to Blair Campbell for his help with the promotion and clipping of all of the sale cattle. Thanks also to Dixie Vickerson for helping out with our beef on a bun lunch.
