Sale Results

First of all, on behalf of everyone at Duncan Livestock (Karl & Irene, Kurt, Jenn & Kinley) we would like to thank everyone who attended and participated in our second annual sale. Bids came from all 3 Maritime Provinces and sold to buyers in Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick.

A big thank you to Blair Campbell for his help with the promotion and clipping of all of the sale cattle. Thanks also to Dixie Vickerson for helping out with our beef on a bun lunch. Thank you to the Boswall family, Grant, Karrie, Ryan, Caleb, and Liam for their help on sale day.

Below are the sale results of our October 2nd sale in the order they sold.

Lot 30, purebred Angus heifer, KJDF Willowstick 30W, bred to CMAC Tyson on April 24th for a February 1st, 2011 calf. This heifer has been in our show string for the past 2 years. Sold to Scott Dixon, NB for $1500.

Green tag # 78, steer, Who Made Who X Purebred Angus (Bonshaw First Dynasty) born December 15, 2009. Dam was Champion Angus Heifer Calf at Old Home Week in 2006. September 26th weight 855 lbs. Sold to Brian and Dora MacKinley, PEI for $1600.

Green tag # 85, steer, Monopoly X Purebred Angus (JEM Stockman 3K) born January 18, 2010. Maternal brother was Grand Champion Steer at the Border Classic for Scott Dixon in 2010. September 26th weight 730 lbs. Sold to Glenn Jay, PEI for $2000.

Yellow tag # 6, steer, Who Made Who X Limousin/Angus born December 26, 2009. Dam was Champion Heifer at Easter Beef Show & Sale in 2003. Maternal siblings have been purchased by Brian & Dora MacKinley, bred heifer and Colby MacQuarrie, show steer. This calf is halter broke. September 26th weight 740 lbs. Sold to Randy Sanderson, PEI for $2300.

Lot 21, December 23rd Ali X Angus/Charolais heifer bred back to our angus herdsire KJDF Tombstone 77T. She was observed bred on April 27th for a February 4th, 2011 calf. She is a maternal sister to the lot 9 heifer calf and the 2008 Champion Charolais at the Easter Beef Show & Sale. Sold to Irwin Jay, PEI for $1200.

Lot 34, purebred Angus heifer, KJDF Windstorm 34W, bred to Gigolo Joe on June 1st for a March 10th, 2011 calf. Sold to Irwin Jay, PEI for $1200.

Yellow tag # 7, heifer, Ali X Angus/Limousin born January 5, 2010. This calf is halter broke. September 26th weight 765 lbs. Sold to Randy Sanderson, PEI for $1150.

Green tag # 79, steer, Who Made Who X Purebred Angus (R F Rainmaker 7C58) born December 17, 2009. 3/4 brother to tag # 81. September 26th weight 815 lbs. Sold to Randy Sanderson, PEI for $1350.

Green tag # 77, steer, Who Made Who X Purebred Angus (Sitz Tradition RLS 02), born December 13, 2009. Dam was Champion Angus Heifer Calf at Old Home Week in 2007. September 26th weight 710 lbs. Sold to Irwin Jay, PEI for $1700.

Yellow tag # 4, heifer, Who Made Who X Angus/Maine-Anjou/Simmental born December 25, 2009. September 26th weight 710 lbs. Sold to Hilda Colodey, PEI for $950.

Yellow tag # 5, heifer, Manchild X Angus/Chianinia/Limousin born December 26, 2009. Full sister to prospect heifer purchased by Isabelle Leblanc in 2009. Maternal brother was Reserve Champion 4H steer at the Easter Beef Show in 2008 for Tricia Sanderson. This calf is halter broke. September 26th weight 740 lbs. Sold to Randy Sanderson, PEI for $900.

Yellow tag # 11, steer, Ali X All About You/Limousin born January 26, 2010. Full brother was shown by the McInnis Family at the Border Classic and finished fourth in his class to the Grand Champion. September 26th weight 650 lbs. Sold to Colby MacQuarrie, PEI for $1100.

Yellow tag # 10, steer, Monopoly X Angus/Hereford born January 24, 2010. This calf is halter broke. September 26th weight 710 lbs. Sold to Ian Drake, PEI for $1050.

Yellow tag # 12, steer, Ali X Angus/Limousin born January 28, 2010. This calf is halter broke. September 26th weight 680 lbs. Sold to Lewis Coombs, NB for $800.

Green tag # 25, steer, KJDF Tombstone 77T X Sin City/Angus/Maine-Anjou, born February 6, 2010. September 26th weight 725 lbs. Sold to Scott Dixon, NB for $800.
