-sired the 2010 Border Classic Grand Champion steer shown by Scott Dixon.
-18 out of 21 of Tombstone's 2011 calves were born unassisted.

Youngblood's weight when he arrived at Nappan for the Maritime Beef Test Station Bull Test was 915 lbs. Click here for his pedigree, his EPDs are low because he is one of only two calves sired by Krone Royal 1140 on record in Canada. We hope that the next genetic evaluation from the Canadian Angus Association will see an increase in his numbers.

Maritime Beef Test Station
Thanks to Glen and Jean Ford of Wheatley River Farm for hauling KJDF Youngblood 12Y (Krone Royal 1140 X TC Stockman 365) to Nappan, Nova Scotia to the Maritime Beef Test Station where approximately 150 bulls and 40 heifers are going on test for the winter. Look for updates on 12Y's progress this winter. Click here for his CAA pedigree. If you are looking for an outcross sire, this is him. He is the only Krone Royal 1140 sired bull calf registered in Canada. His dam, JEM Classy Lady 23L has produced many good ones with progeny sold to all 3 Maritime Provinces.

Genex Sired Progeny at Old Home Week
Genex sired progeny had good results at the 2011 Old Home Week Beef Shows in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
In the open Angus show, Julie Mutch's JEM Classy Lady 15Y sired by S A V Bismarck 5682 was the Champion Angus Heifer Calf. Glen and Ronnie Ford's Wheatley River Colleen 2X sired by Quaker Hill Objective 3J15 was second in her yearling heifer class.
In the open Simmental show, Hidden Hollow Farm's Hidden H Sweet Meat 170Y sired by TNT Top Gunn R244 was a bull calf class winner as well as the Grand Champion Male. In the mature cow class, CMS Ureika 807U, sired by Remington Red Label HR won her class and went on to be the Senior Female Champion and Grand Champion Female. She was also named the Supreme Champion Female over all breeds.

October Sale Preview, Yellow tag # 99
Yellow tag # 99X, heifer, Alias X 176N (Angus/Limousin) born on December 8, 2010. Maternal sister was the 2010 high selling heifer at our sale. 99X is part of our 2011 show string. Dam is bred to Boardwalk for a November calf.
